In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up on a National Park in Northern Australia. It was a beachy place called Townsville. Music was very celebrated in our home. Early on I played piano, sang in choirs and got into orchestral percussion. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? James Blake, James Blake Sigur Rós, Takk... Sufjan Stevens, Illinois These albums transported me to other places and inspired me to get into recording sound with friends. Sufjan inspired the lyrics and arrangements, James inspired the electronic/vocal balance and Takk is my all time world to live within. One of my all time favourites. I loved recording strings & every-time I play it live I feel the most present and centred. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The first time my music was used in a trailer for Netflix. My band and I had just finished our last show for the year and we didn't know it would be approved until we saw it when everyone else did. I got into music production inspired by film Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Film scores & accompanying a TV show as their theme song. Working on a game soundtrack or travelling around Europe or Iceland with my music.
