The Leonides were one big happy family living in a sprawling, ramshackle mansion - until the head of the household, Aristide, was murdered with a fatal barbiturate injection. Suspicion naturally falls on the old man's young widow, 50 years his junior. But the murderer has reckoned without the tenacity of Charles Hayward, fiancé of the late millionaire's granddaughter.
Bought this audiobook as a replacement for an old audio cassette. On playing it, the final few minutes are garbled and cannot be listened to, thus making it impossible to hear the ending. Very disappointing after listening to several hours of the story, and therefore bad value for money. I am reluctant to purchase any other audiobooks on this basis as there is no comeback - the product is not fit for purpose and therefore should not be charged for. My old out-of-date audio cassette appears to be more reliable than the modern version.
