New York, Geneva (AirGuide - Airport News Europe) Mar 28, 2010 Air France Air France said it expects "normal" operations this weekend after the majority of the six unions representing cabin crew called off a proposed strike scheduled for March 28-3. The unions had proposed the four-day stoppage in protest of cost-cutting measures foreseen in the carrier's so-called NEO [New European Offer] plan. As part of the overhaul of its short- and medium-haul network, due to take off April 1, AF is seeking to remove one flight attendant from each of its A319s and reintroduce hot meals on flights longer than 2.5 hr., which the unions claim breaches collective labor agreements.
