APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Violence and abuse has been a constant shadow in the lives of siblings Peter and Adele Robinson. Divided into three suspenseful sections spanning their upbringing, Born Bad plunges us into Manchester’s criminal underworld, where the pair's past locks them in a deadly chokehold. Thriller author Heather Burnside, who grew up in Manchester, vividly captures the gritty, tense atmosphere of the city’s harshest regions. If the novel’s shocking end leaves you hungry for more, added drama awaits in the rest of Burnside’s trilogy following the brother and sister duo.

Not bad, but not in the league of Martina Cole
This series shows promise and from the first book gives us characters and situations readers can relate to. The plots need to be more structured though as there were no surprises. Having said that, a good read and I would recommend this author.
