“Ferdinand Fox curled up in the sun as the church of St Mary struck quarter past one. His tummy was full, he was ready for sleep, and closing his eyes he began to count sheep.”
A delightful rhyming story for ages 2-5 about Ferdinand, a kind-hearted urban fox. Narrated by the British author, Karen Inglis, with word highlighting and gentle sound effects. Beautiful illustrations offer lots of opportunity for shared discussion with little ones. Includes ‘See and Say’ word/picture matching pages at the end for pre-readers and early readers, based on simple words and images seen in the story.
My 4-year old niece loves this book. She can follow the story herself and loves the rhyme and the sounds of the sheep and jelly wobble - and when the clock strikes five she practises counting with it.
A lovely rhyming story!
What a lovely gentle rhyming story! Perfect for age 3-5, (or even older,). And the church clock chimes, the sheep's baa and the fox snoring all add extra interest and fun that bring the story to life. Highly recommended.
