Honest and vulnerable stories

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

This collection gathers some of the most honest and vulnerable stories from the blog,

From quitting your job to getting married and growing up, I Quit takes readers on a journey through the grit, sorrow and joy of life, as well as the alarming realisation that there is more out there, should we have the courage to reach for it.

Linda Ayoola writing under the childhood nickname, Asklychee, retells the stories of her life with an unapologetic vulnerability that draws you into her narrative. Stories about being a woman, being lost, being a wife and about the many other parts of life that leave us longing for answers.

She hopes they resonate and ultimately encourage others to step out of the confines of the known, as they once did for her.

Honest and transparent. I connect with this collection for so many reasons. I am so inspired to truly BE ME!! Thank you for this asklychee. There needs to be more books like this!

I will keep it close so that it's there when I need to re-read.

In the modern world we live in its easy to swirl along through the days feeling mostly lost while trying to find that one thing we're 'supposed' to be doing with our lives. Reading 'I Quit' was like taking a big long gulp of air and realising that you're not the only one.
It was beautiful to read through someone's honest portrayal of their fears, hopes and dreams, and the challenges that they face, and it made me feel like I wasn't so alone, or so absurd for dreaming.
It's a beautiful narrative that gives us all permission to speak the things we really yearn after, and more importantly, go after them.
Asklychee's story is wonderfully told in a way that makes you feel welcome around her table, and leaves you wanting to ask more, find out more, hear more and of course, do more.
Go and buy it and read it, and when you're feeling lost in this crazy world, read it again.
