Publisher Description
This is an action-packed political thriller full of secrets, lies and a deadly conspiracy.
How well can you ever really know someone?
As Ben Casper watches his best friend plummet from her sixth-floor apartment balcony, he realises his life is about to change. Diana had no reason to kill herself, she had to have been pushed.
Diana worked for the CIA, so the investigation into her death is kept tightly under wraps. But Ben is a political journalist, and can feel that something isn’t right.
Ben starts investigating for himself and soon discovers Diana was leading a double life he knew nothing about. But when more people involved die in questionable circumstances, it’s clear that someone doesn’t want the truth to be uncovered. And unless Ben drops his investigation, he could be next…
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Kevin T. Collins brings plenty of energy to his reading of this latest offering from Patterson and Ellis. Journalist Ben Casper is paranoid and obsessive, and chief among his obsessions is the beautiful, but unobtainable, woman of his dreams, Diana Hotchkiss. When Diana is found dead, after a fall from her high-rise apartment, the authorities deem it a suicide. But Ben is convinced that her death was really murder and sets out to prove it only to discover that Diana was leading a double life. Kevin T. Collins hands in a first-rate performance in this audio edition. His narration is well paced and crisp, and he skillfully captures the essence of Ben's character. Collins manages to deliver thrills and plenty of fun in this audiobook that will appeal to listeners who don't need to take their thrillers too seriously. A Little, Brown and Company hardcover.

An ok read, but .....
Too much trivia
Not a bad plot although a bit puerile in delivery. The vast amount of trivia in relation to information about artists, films Etc is a distraction to the story and looks more like page fillers. I managed the end as I had paid for the book but wouldn't read another.
Amazing
