Brilliant
Totally loose yourself in this fabulous book as you follow Claire from the ending of 2nd world war and trying to rebuild a marriage where both her and Crank have changed through their experiences of the war and then whilst on a long past due honeymoon and Claire’s ‘disappearance’ and how she learns to live (and survive!) using her wits and considerable caring and empathic nature. This is a story of love through time and the need to be a strong person to get through the different challenges. Great book!!!!
Great book
Tantalising, captivating and flowing; Diana captured Scottish history in a way that makes you wish you had thought of it yourself first. As a Scot, I immensely enjoyed reading of our history entwined with a passionate love story.
I wish someone would call me Sassenach like Jamie
Brilliant read, was hooked from start to finish. Read the book after watching the TV series and loved the added detail that the book gives.
