So Disappointing
I found this book rather disappointing...i was quite excited to try the recipes in the book but I would only make maybe 3 of the recipes in the book as most of them sound disgusting... I would not have bought the book had I known that the majority of the recipes are savory...also I think there should be more pictures.. there’s a picture of a layed cheesecake which looks lovely but then there is no recipe for it in the book! I have already tried the strawberry one... I followed the recipe exactly and and found that it was just not very sweet. The taste of cream cheese was still pretty strong... seems like more sugar is needed in my opinion and definetly more butter in the base as it just didn’t hold the base together with only 50g of butter... it also didn’t set as well as I would have liked... the pictures in the book look great and set but in reality it just didn’t happen... there are also a few errors.. e.g in one recipe it says to put the cake in the fridge to set for atleast 4 hours... and in the next sentence it says when it’s set take it out of the freezer!? Now should it have been in the freezer or the fridge?? I would have been happy had this book only been £2.99 or there abouts but at £7.99 I expected so much more.
