Skeleton Crew

featuring The Mist

This book can be downloaded and read in iBooks on your Mac or iOS device.

Includes the brilliant story 'The Mist', now adapted into a major Netflix series.
Hold tight. We are going into a number of dark places, but I think I know the way. Just don't let go of my arm . . .

Unrivalled master of suspense Stephen King takes the unsuspecting reader on a fantastic journey through the dark shadows of our innermost fears.

Do the dead sing?

In this bumper collection of chilling tales, we meet: a woman who has never crossed The Reach, the water dividing her from the mainland; a gramma who only wants to hug little George, even after she is dead; an innocent looking toy with sinister powers; and a primeval sea creature with an insatiable appetite.

From Publishers Weekly

01 June 1986 – This hefty sampler of King's shorter works, from all stages of the horror master's career, demonstrates the range of his abilities. Some of the stories here rank among his best, and "even the less successful ones are fun,'' PW observed.

Excellent book

This is truly king, one of his excellent compilation books, I read this on paperback a while ago and loved it. I think that the price is a bit high for the age of the book. But excellent reading none the less

Good but there are typographic errors

Cannot believe a publishing house of as high regard as this would not check the type before submitting.

The story entitled 'The Monkey' should begin with the word 'When' not 'Then'.

Yeah, I know it's a small thing but when you're paying the paperback equivalent price for an ebook, you should expect it to mirror the printed editions.

This is a common problem in e-publishing. Big publishing houses are not taking the time and trouble to deliver a quality product and in so many big name books there is sloppy typesetting.

Five stars for King's collection.

One star for Hodder & Stoughton's rush to make money at the expense of the reader.
