I loved it! I read all the Sherlock Holmes books as a child and remember well the feeling of bereavement when I had finished them all. And now we have more! I have been glued to this book for the last 24 hours. And now I am once more bereft. In your final essay, you say you have no plans to write a second. How can we persuade you otherwise?

A really great read
Initially wary, but gradually fascinated and truly hooked by an excellent Holmes adventure which had me gripped until the end.
Next stop - “Moriarty”
No mean feat
I think I can imagine the difficulty of writing as if wearing another author's shoes. Having recently read someone else's efforts at reproducing a Steig Larsson Nobel I was expecting to be disappointed. However I have to say that AH has pulled off a major coup. Everything about this novel felt authentic. Brilliant and immensely enjoyable.
