The Leopard

Book 8, Harry Hole

This book can be downloaded and read in Apple Books on your Mac or iOS device.

From the bestselling author of The Snowman - an explosive new thriller.

In the depths of winter a killer stalks the city streets. Two women are found drowned in their own blood. A third woman is hanged from a diving board.

The crime scenes offer no clues, the media is reaching fever pitch, and the police are running out of options.

There is only one man who can help them catch the killer. But Inspector Harry Hole doesn't want to be found.

From Publishers Weekly

07 November 2011 – In Nesb s outstanding follow-up to The Snowman , Insp. Harry Hole reluctantly agrees to return home from Hong Kong, where he s been hiding out for months, after an Oslo Crime Squad colleague tells him his father is in the hospital. Considered an expert after catching the serial killer known as the Snowman, Harry is marginally intrigued by the possibility of another serial killer loose in Oslo. Back in Norway, little links two murdered women except the unusual stab wounds in their mouths. When a mid-level politician s body is discovered in a possible suicide that s soon dubbed murder, Hole realizes a single killer is at work and not yet done. Nesb moves the action easily from Hong Kong to Norway, with side trips to the Democratic Republic of Congo, without ever losing the plot s sense of urgency. Hole, put through the emotional wringer in The Snowman, doesn t get much of a reprieve in this intense outing. By the end, he s ready to concede that what he most wants is an armored heart.

Better and better

Harry Hole is convinced to return to the life he left to help bring in a killer who seems to be picking off random women. He reluctantly returns to a political war and bloody killer who will stop at nothing.

After his last book The Snowman, Jo Nesbo returns with another epic thriller that grips you from start to end. The Snowman was an excellent read that took you on a ride with a main character that had no limits. This new book takes it further.

I actually read this epic in a few days, not being able to put it down. Jo Nesbo has created a character who you really care about. There are moments in this book that made me cringe just because I cared about the character so much. Harry Hole really goes to hell and back in this book, taking the reader with him. The chapter when Harry is stuck in a room unable the scream for help, will sit in my mind forever.

If I could have given this book anything higher than 5 stars I would have, no question.

Great bool

I have just finished reading this book and I literally could not put it down. Kept me guessing to the very end, and when I thought I guessed the killer it twisted and turned again to keep me in suspense.
Would recommend this book, it's really very good

The Leopard

Yet another riveting read. Harry Hole is a tortured soul who manages to get under the skin and demand the reader's undivided attention. And he gets it!
