Nice lead into further adventures for the ‘Old Man'

Well having read the first three novels, not liking some of them, I checked into this ‘short story’ and bought it outright. Seems that Mr. Newman got it a little more right this time around. I could just wish that the ‘Old Man’ had taken more active part in the story, he seemed to be . . . worn out. He was worn out. But if you liked the first novel and the second and the thrid, this is a good short novella and one that I hope has a sequel following on. No spoilers but you will appreciate the ending, though I was a bit angry that he didn’t take a stand over some of the arrogance in one particular character. Grrr Read and you will enjoy.
