About the Film
Morgan Freeman reprises his Kiss the Girls role as Alex Cross in this spellbinding psychological thriller that is "a knockout with a surprise twist." After the harrowing death of his partner, detective and best-selling author Alex Cross has retreated to the peace of retirement. But when a brilliant criminal (Michael Wincott) kidnaps a senator's young daughter, Alex is lured back into action. Teamed with the Secret Service agent (Monica Potter) assigned to protect the missing girl, Alex follows a serpentine trail of clues that leads him to a stunning discovery - the kidnapper wants more than just ransom...he wants Alex's help in documenting the crime of the century. With time running out, Alex plunges through a tangled web of danger and deceit to stop a madman and save an innocent victim's life.
"Along Came a Spider" is a good film with good actors and a good plot. It is let down by the script writing and even some parts of the story but overall a good film.
I thought this film was an excellent thriller, and recommened it to everyone, especially if you like Morgan Freeman :) x
Not That Great
I read the reviews of this film and thought it looked worth buying, but I was rather dissappointed. It starts off quite promissingly, but the story line soon becomes quite weak and unexciting, and it appears that they have tried to make up for this with "unpredictable" twists later in the film, but in reality these just drive another nail into the coffin of this film.
I'd say the film was poorley acted, but that would be unfair to the actors. They certainly did their best, but the script and screenplay was so unreal and awkward, even the best actor couldn't have done much with it.
Overall, an interesting plot, but poorly told, edited and acted. I wouldn't reccommend this film.
