There are flaws but I'm hardly able to name them as I am just about fkn smitten with this film. Edgar Wright, it has to be said, is the most meticulous director, creating the best pieces of art to come out of the 21st Century.

Just gorgeous.

My only criticism is that Bats, the main villain is no Hans Landa. He's not very scary and I got the impression he was supposed to be trying to come across crazier than he was but on reflection I think that's just how he was acted, not how he was written.

Now I either want to be a director or a get away driver.

Great film all flaws made up for

The film is a fantastic spectacle, riveting chase scenes, great tunes, and baby and lily are very likeable characters. However there are some flaws, for instance Doc's (Kevin Spacey) transition from cold hearted criminal to compassionate father figure felt very rushed and is the kind of change that occurs over 1 or 2 seasons of a tv show rather than a stand alone film. Also Debora makes serious life altering descisions in the blink of an eye, although I feel there is no way this could have been avoided with out extra scenes that would only drag the film down over all. Finally and least importantly, i found the dinner date scene very meh, but again fits with the tone of the film.
Excellent film, well worth a watch, and buy the sound track if u can.(That sh*t is bananas)

It's Nuance and Quirkiness really Pays off

Full of larger than life characters who act and behave so differently but believably. Even some 'flaws' like doc's bipolar change of heart and a slow first diner scene fit in with the pace and tone of the film. I guess all general individual flaws in movies can be strengths with a great editor, director and actors. This film has all three and style.
