About the Film

This story of a lonely and desperate boy who finds salvation within the confines of a grimy public toilet. Masterful storytelling seen by millions as set to music in the well-known KEANE music video.

Utterly Amazing

Amazing. Beautiful Story with a beautiful ending, just can't stop watching it. At times the heart races and tears may flow but truely an amazing story. Unforgettable. A lovely tale of hope.

Fantastic in both senses of the word

A wonderfully animated tale of the darkness and despair that are all too close to the surface of the human reality, and ultimately of the choice we all have; to accept it or see through it and recognise our choices.
Unashamedly naive and bravely raw at times, the fantastical animation and claustrophobic scenes seem like an all-too-real human nightmare, but have a fairy tale quality and a delight in the gross reminiscent of Roald Dahl, or Tim Burton, without ever losing individuality of style.
It's a childrens tale for grown ups - and maybe for more stoic children - that, if you accept it, makes you drop your cynicism and look at things more simply and with a bit of childish optimism.

Very stylish, but is the framerate meant to be jerky?

This is a very stylish and mature animation- not really for kids. Well known for the Keane music video. The only thing that puts me off watching it is the jerky framerate- is it meant to be this jerky?
