About the Film

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military's next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he's trained by Mazer himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Right down my street

If you like Sci Fi, you’ll like this, if you like stories of exceptional people rising above adversity, you’ll like this.
I personally loved it. Though you might see a couple of the plot twists coming, its entertaining enough that you’re just enjoying being along for the ride. You won’t like it if your after compelling drama, but take it for what it is and you’ll love every minute.

Absolutely Pants!!

Rubbish story line. Terrible acting. Special effects ok. Can't believe an oscar winning actor like Ben Kingsley would be complicit in appearing in such an awful film.

Fair, but so much lost in conversion

I feel for Orson, his book was so full of detail and many aspects which made the story, but so much of it was lost when they shortened it to become a movie that it was definitely lacking something...
There were quite a few implied things that coincided with the story, but it just didn't quite cut the mustard.
This could have been a blockbuster but it ended up average, all because they thought they could get away with taking out the heart of the story!
