Plot Summary

Every second counts in this sexy, stylish action-thriller starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. In a future where time is literally money and aging stops at 25, the only way to stay alive is to earn, borrow, steal or inherit more time. But when a poor, working-class man (Timberlake) is falsely accused of murder, he teams up with a beautiful heiress (Seyfried) and must figure out a way to bring down the corrupt system before their dwindling life clocks run out!

Intriguing premise poorly executed

This had the potential to be a thought-provoking scfi thriller, but opted instead to go for generic Bonnie and Clyde adventures rather than really exploring the morality of a society where time literally is money. The problem with this film is exemplified in the two leads - Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried look the part, but lack the charisma or talent to convince. It says it all that an actor as talented as Cillian Murphy is wasted as a bit-part baddie and ranked for screen time with the likes of Alex Pettyfer. Like a lot of recent high-concept box office cannon fodder, It's not particularly offensive, but not really worth watching either.

Summary: Wants to be Logan's Run, but ends up like The Island. Go and rewatch Inception instead.

Made for the mass audience.

This film had the potential to be great. The plot was amazing, and so much could have been done with it. Unfortunately, they decided to go for the inexperienced actor for the main character, that was the first mistake. Justin is an average actor, but for a film like this, he needed to be great, which he wasn't.

Then there were basic mistakes like, why didn't they just break into the vault in the first place? It was easy enough when the main characters did it, so why hadn't someone else done it before? And when he says he has 30 minutes left on his time thingy, at night- cut to next scene, it's broad daylight and he even has enough time to give her 5 minutes..

What utter rubbish. Could have been great, turned out poor. This film isn't for clever people. If you notice major mistakes in movies like these, don't bother watching this film. Or, like me, you could watch it and have some enjoyment from commenting on how rubbish it is.

Worth Watching!

amazing movie, glad i watched it, so different from other films, got a real good plot behind a gripping performance… and of course a top notch cast.
