About the Film

From Ridley Scott, the visionary director of Black Hawk Down and Gladiator, comes this spectacular epic of courage, honor and adventure. Orlando Bloom stars as Balian, a young Frenchman in Medieval Jerusalem during the Crusades, who, having lost everything, finds redemption in a heroic fight against overwhelming forces to save his people and fulfill his destiny as a knight.

Where Is The Director's Cut?

Ridley Scott's movies are no joke; and as usual this film doesn't disappoint. Masterful storytelling at its best. The writing is fantastic; the costumes amazing and even a woodentop like Orlando Bloom couldn't harm it. Actors would rightly kill for the opportunity to be in an epic like this one and each gave their all. Stupendous!! Well worth your 15th time watching it. The scene with Sybilla realising that her son is a leper has been cut from the theatrical release and this is an unbelievably short sighted mistake. PLEASE PUT THE DIRECTOR'S CUT ON SO THAT WE CAN SEE THE WHOLE STORY. You will not regret watching either version but the Director's cut is a MUST.

Not the full version

I had only see parts of this film on TV, mainly the middle and ending, so decided to buy it on Blu Ray (which was the directors cut version) Watching this version showed you that some on the story line on the theatrical release doesn't make sense and doesn't fully explain things, it's a shame they couldn't have put the directors cut on here.

Great and breathtaking

without a doubt one of my all time favourite films, a compelling story, a medival war film, blood gore, honour and courage what more do you need? Its a visual drug that rollercoasts you around and doesn't let go, I have yet to watch this film for my 34th time and still not board of it. Orlando bloom plays a convincing lead role of the blacksmith who becomes a knight, the knight who asks the question what is jerusalum worth? Nothing.......Everything. Action packed and will not disapoint .
