Ok more American propaganda really ! Good B movie though

Good if you actually watch it

Doesn’t quite match the magic of the first low budget “Monsters”, but boldly uses the landscape of the Middle East to portray a group of gung-ho US soldiers, chasing “monsters” around a foreign country where they do not understand the repercussions of their actions.

The “Deer Hunter” structure is used, but the volunteer rookies are portrayed as a group of Detroit thugs who it is hard to have sympathy for, until the compassionate realisations of the final scenes.

Not the military action movie that the trailer would have you believe, but something that has a deeper resonance. Also, surround sound heaven, with helicopters, monsters behind you, richocheting gunshots.

I am normally very tolerating and will happily be generous about most films but this was total pants
