A group of U.S. soldiers in the Middle East face a supernatural force.
Lame Movie Alert!
Since Dog Soldiers many moviemakers have decided to take the idea of a small group of soldiers cut off from the main army; movies such as The Outpost succeeded whereas The Bunker did not. This film falls into the latter category. It fails on all fronts. None of the actors are given much to work with so the dialogue does not engage; the story is flimsily conceived - hoping that we, the viewer will be suitably impressed by the inclusion of the Persian nightmare creature a Djinn (demon or spirit) - as opposed to the old fashioned story, pace, dramatic suspense. We're not. Because the creature is embodied by sand and wind for the majority of the movie we are left to rely on suspense and anticipation. When the 'monster' is finally shown it's all very poor and the CGI is rubbish. Boring. Save your money. Even if you are bored and there's nothing else.. really this is straight to video bargain basket.
