About the Film
Selma tells the story of Martin Luther King Jr.'s historic struggle to secure voting rights for African-Americans - a dangerous and terrifying campaign that culminated in the epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama that galvanized American public opinion and persuaded President Johnson to introduce the Voting Rights Act in 1965.
I never leave reviews, but can’t stay silent about this film. It’s a must see. To remember, not to repeat.
set a precedence for freedom of human rights something a lot of politicians are too stupid to comprehend because most of them have never experienced any isms or schisms of life.still happening today and the march goes on and on and on for freedom of all . We're are equal but different .
Rarely a film as beautiful as this
It is rare I find myself in floods of tears, not least three times in this film. Although set in 1965 it still feels current with the situation in the USA at the moment. The acting was good, yet the filming, music creates a lasting impression. I cannot recommend this film enough. Go. Go watch it.
