About the Film
In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power. The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.
Charlize Theron is the only reason to watch this film, incredible!
Well well well I was not expecting that - apart from Kristen Stewarts terrible accent (at least she attempted it - Charlize!) it was really good - I rented it and I have watched it twice in 48 hours and that is not like me at all! It's magical, dramatic and keeps you interested - and there is no overcooked love story! Fab!!!
What a waste of money and time. A typical Hollywood "throw cash and special effects at it and it will be a hit" type of movie that fails on all levels. Snow White is supposed to be the most beautiful girl in all the land, so who do they place in the role? A rather mediocre looking "only has one acting face" average actress out of those terrible twiglight movies. Poor choice.
The queen, now when it comes to raspberries for acting she wins hands down, Charlize Theron was awful, beauty does not make a good actress.
The story lurched along, trying to keep you interested with Trolls (sorry one troll), fairies, a stag made of fairies and some dwarves. Oh and there had to be the "lets walk across some mountain tops because it looked good in Lord of the rings". Throw in a Legolas like archer and some bloke with an axe and what you get is over 2 hours of utter tripe.
Not worth renting, wait for it to go to terrestrial TV and turn it off then.
