About the Film

The Darkest Dawn is a big, brash, British sci-fi movie that tells the story of two teenage sisters as Britain descends into an alien apocalypse. Told through the eyes of the younger sister, the film charts the sisters' descent into a post apocalyptic hell where they must choose between humanity and brutality in the fight for survival. Having lost their family in the initial chaos, the sisters unite with another group of survivors and embark on an odyssey out of a totally devastated London and into the badlands of Britain under alien occupation. The Darkest Dawn, the second film in the award-winning Hungerford franchise, stars major UK-based YouTube stars Bethan Leadley, Cherry Wallis and Stuart Ashen.

Not really into these sorts of films but absolutely loved it!

Lacking in so many ways

Some very poor editing during some of the scenes, especially around the camp fire in the church ruins spoils the film. Loads of overacting and lines being taken from more superior action movies to give the dialogue a 'more gritty reality' but makes it more of an amatuer sham. Better off leaving this as a free You Tube video than a paid for movie. Glad I only rented it and didn't waste too much money on seeing this 'film'.

Really enjoyed this film felt like you got to know the characters really well. Some great visual effects and compelling story lines. Started to really feel for the characters. Overall a great British film.
