A little blessing in disguise. In a hospital on the outskirts of 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman (Pushing Daisies’ Lee Pace) begins to tell a fellow patient, a little girl with a broken arm, a fantastical story about 5 mythical heroes set in an exotic far off land. Thanks to his fractured state of mind and her vivid imagination, the line between fiction and reality starts to blur as the tale advances and takes a sinister, life threatening turn.
I can't recommend this movie enough
Definitely one of my top 5 films, beautifully shot with a fantastic story. I'd put this in the same realm as Pan's Labyrinth. The music in the trailer just sums up the feel of the entire movie. If you like arty films then you won't be disappointed.
This has to be one of the best films I've seen in years and definitely the most visually impressive. The landscapes alone are worth renting (or buying) the film whilst the acting is superb. I was brought to tears more than once.
um i am not sure
this film is just so beautiful. from the nice landscapes to the bright colours. (thats how we brits spell colors so don't say i am wrong iTunes).
the plot however is just confusing. on the other hand much of the film takes place in the mind of a young girl who is being told stories of myth and legends.
in a way this film was designed as a visual piece and from this the film succeeds, but as a plot driven narrative it fails.
if you want something different from the mediocre hollywood films (Battleship) then here you are an art house piece to confuse and wonder the audience .
give it a try it won't be for everyone but if you like art films then have fun. But seriously i am not sure what to make of this film, i like the direction but the plot confuses me.
