About the Film
TimeScapes is a non-narrative film which explores the people and landscapes of the American Southwest through ground breaking use of timelapse and slow-motion photography.
Avoid if you've got an older Mac
Purchased this as I've loved Tom's other short's, but it was a waste of money!!! iTunes has hamstrung the digital download to HDCP monitors ONLY. Thus if you have an older Mac (Mac Pro with DVI 30" Monitor like me), it will not play. This is not mention anywhere on this page, so I have requested my money back.
This is a triumph for the photographic world. With the combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, form, that pleases the aesthetic senses this film evokes a deep connection towards the natural beauty of the world. The stunning time-lapses accompanied by the harmonious music leads to a fantastic viewing experience. Definitely worth the money, you won't be disappointed.
Stunning film from start to finish
The film is full of breathtaking shots that leave you wondering how they did it. People saying it lacks story well it's simply isn't for them it's not suppose to have one. A great journey across many locations, it's actually worth getting the special edition of the web site if you want to find out more about how it was made and the different locations.
