About the Film
When a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist, they realize the only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for "officer down". The chaos that ensues when a police officer is shot in the line of duty is just the diversion they'll need to do the job, but whether they have the will to kill one of their own is an entirely different matter. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action packed finale tangled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.
Violence Violence Violence
Quite a dark and violent movie. I was hoping for a better story and a bit more of an engaging 90 mins… This film is really just held together by violent action sequences that don’t really add up to much… OK / good performances by a solid cast, but nothing to get excited about. Heist scenes could have been so much more…
Wasn't expecting much after reading the only review but was pleasantly surprised. It's actually quite a thoughtful well made film. Not too much violence at all. In fact I expected more. I watched it with a very critical friend and we both agree. An excellent film.
I read somewhere that this film was as good as Heat. Well, it's not. Not even close. Cliche after cliche is presented with nothing more than a vague nod to a plot. Luckily I only rented, so whilst the £3.49 is lost, the film won't torture my hard drive in perpetuity.
