Where Eagles Dare

Ladies and Gentlemen, this is without a doubt the greatest war film ever made, enough said.

Where Eagles Dare

They quite simply don't make them like this any more.

Everything about this film is perfect; from the soaring, atmospheric music; to the brilliant action set-pieces: cable-car fights, armoured buses and motorbike escapes. Richard Burton's performance is pitch-perfect as ever; his gruff, steely English qualities contrasting beautifully with Clint Eastwood's more effortlessly cool, relaxed charm.

The script is clever, the plot superb and the locations brilliantly atmospheric and terrifically captured.

This is a comprehensively brilliant movie.

Brilliant

This is probably one of the best war films ever made, I would really recommend it even to those usually unsure about this type of film.
