It's come to my attention recently that this is many listeners' favorite episode. It's one of my favorites too. I tried to get Daniel's input at the top and you'll hear how that went.

ONe StAr. End the Tony Thaxton Tyranny.
Once upon a time, a producer named Chef Jeff scrubbed the deck of Alison’s flagship podcast. He was and always will be a firm fan favourite and the undisputed drop king. Then as time passed, Jeff moved away, and along came hot stuff rock god motion city soundtrack drummer turned producer, Tony Thaxton, no robe Tony, the bad boy of podcasting.
Now we love Tony, and he and his awkward interactions with Alison are a great fit for the show. But, there’s a problem. Guys, I’m sorry to say, drops just aren’t Tony’s thing. I know I know, you’d think a drummer would be crushing the timing of those soundboard hits, but the show has built up such a dizzying collection, how can one man (other than chef Jeff) possibly manage them all?
And yet, each week, Alison Insists… drags…. demands poor Tony once again to mash up the awkwardly timed contextual clips, and it’s just not Tony’s thing. His Jam, some might say.
So please Alison, when you do remember to introduce Tony halfway through the show, give him some slack. Much love to you all, 5 stars really.
Great show, interesting guests, fun had by all
I didn’t expect to like the show this much, but the Thursday shows are like having a nice chat with friends where I don’t have to do any of the work. And I find myself nodding vigorously in agreement almost every time Daniel gets righteously indignated about something.
A hole plugged
I recently lost my best friend but then I found this podcast and Alison is my new best friend so that’s good. Love her, love this, love them.
