Both of these first two episodes have really provided a broad insight into the lives the guests have led. McQueen is a fantastic interviewer, his style allows you to feel the guests’ emotions as if you yourself are sat talking with them. I love that McQueen manages to cover what seems like the entire life of the guest, including school, family life and their career, without the episode feeling rushed or crammed. A pleasure to listen to.

Rarely do I listen to radio, a podcast or audio of any kind and find it as engaging and insightful as Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs but this certainly is. Well done Vogue, well done Steve McQueen, really truly excellent.
