This is a podcast where comedian Simon Caine interviews the most influential bookers, agents and promoters from the world of comedy, stand up, TV, radio & more about their job and how they do it with an aim to helping performers understand what's happening "behind the scenes" and how to get ahead in the industry as well as giving non-performers a rare glance behind the curtain to see who (and how) their favourite comedians brands are made.

Valuable insider info

If episode one is anything to go by, this is a must-listen for anyone serious about their comedy career. Stewart Goldsmith's Comedians Comedian podcast is helpful about how you wrote and perform, but this has loads about how to grow a career and makes a good companion piece. It's not enough just to be funny... You need to know the business side of showbusiness - and this podcast looks like it will come up with the goods.

truly awful

i could barely continue listening to the”COMEDY PREMISE WRITING” where not only were their premises unfunny, but they were also perpetuated misogynistic ideas which are all too prevalent in comedy. COME ON! Write some real jokes that aren’t to do with “Male Yoga”. Yoga isn’t male or female. Idiots!
