Steve - @guitarmoog - and Chris - @ottocrat - investigate cakeism: the philosophy of having your cake and eating it, as preached and practised by the British government in its approach to Brexit. Each week, we explore the latest developments as we head towards Brexit and spend time wading through the weeds from the perspective of two long-standing Brussels and UK government insiders. Our aim: to inform you, our listeners, about EU realities and so, hopefully, to equip you to spot lies and to thwart attempts to manipulate you. There may be swearing. We are regularly joined by guests and occasionally by special guest co-hosts.

I haven't had enough of experts

There are pro-Leave journalists doing a good job of covering Brexit. These two are better. They know the EU and the UK from the inside and communicate what they know in a way that is light, funny and informative. I wish more people knew how intelligent and creative so many civil servants are: that it is possible to be committed to public service and not care about politics, and that maybe, just maybe, people who have worked on a topic sincre graduating from Uni know more about it than a Minister inherited the portfolio 18 months ago. More cake please!

Bloody experts and their experty ways.

Followed these two on twitter for some time - typically well informed views and debunking of the car crash that is Brexit available here too. Would be a bloody long thread so podcast is a great addition! More of the same if you please chaps.

The most human of all the podcasts

This is, quite simply, the most *human* of the Remain-inspired podcasts. And it's not a big-budget affair, like so many others.

Each podcast has structure (loosely!), lots of humour, and occasionally dark introspection. The two main hosts have different backgrounds and areas of expertise which complement each other — there's no party line here.

Their guests (particularly "CakeWatch Live") bring a real breath of fresh air.
Got an opinion on Brexit? This podcast should be on your very short list.
