Completely different!

I disagree with Matt at sea, it's nothing like Answer Me This in tone or format. It's a science show with a detective theme that goes out on location and interviews experts. The only thing they share in common is that they are both based on listener's questions - a format that was pioneered by BBC radio, and I expect NPR, decades before any indie podcasts came on the scene.

This podcast appeals to both the child and the scientist in me.

It makes me giggle in public, and I learn along the way. It's also 22% better than the radio version - FACT.

I love this podcast

There's great chemistry between Fry & Rutherford, and a warm humour that makes the science interesting and entertaining. I found the investigations to be genuinely useful (especially when they delved into the workings of the gut flora), and it's provided some surprising information too. Reliable and well researched science, as we'd expect from the best of the BBC.
