Description
In "Hardcore History" journalist and broadcaster Dan Carlin takes his "Martian", unorthodox way of thinking and applies it to the past. Was Alexander the Great as bad a person as Adolf Hitler? What would Apaches with modern weapons be like? Will our modern civilization ever fall like civilizations from past eras? This isn't academic history (and Carlin isn't a historian) but the podcast's unique blend of high drama, masterful narration and Twilight Zone-style twists has entertained millions of listeners.

Thrilling!
I love this podcast so much, fascinating for all history lovers (or students, or whatever), Dan speaks clearly with sensitivity and an underlying passion that's infectious I recommend highly
Brilliant
The first episode can be a little off-putting but persevere because they just get better and better. Dan Carlin finds a perfect balance: providing enough information for those who don't know about the subject whilst not getting too bogged down with facts. Definately one of the best history podcasts available.
The podcast I most look forward to ....
Simply fantastic. Dan's style is informative, entertaining and thought provoking, you'll learn plenty and in a manner which really brings history to life. Easily the podcast I most look forward to, the 3 parter on the Punic Wars could be the best yet ...
