Different from the rest

A bare bones podcast about everyday topics, a nice change and easy to listen to.

Great Show

Love the Rampant Mumblings, especially when Karl is on!

RIP Rampant Mumblings - all hail Essential Apple

I've been listening to the Rampant Mumblings for a while now - since I think Karl Madden mentioned them on The Mac & Forth Show. Mark started out with simple 5 minute casts while walking his dogs made with Opinion and his iPhone and yes sometimes it showed. However there was a raw honest approach in that which made it appealing.
Over time the Mumblings have grown and expanded as Mark grew into it. First into a "proper" one man podcast with Mark's views and observations on technology and Apple news, running, cycling, reviews, interviews, life and everything.
More recently still it started to morph into M&Fv2 as Mark started to "get the band back together" and take on the format of Karl Madden's late lamented M&F show...
And this episode we discover why - Karl and Mark (and Ric and Barry, and Matt) have agreed to reform - but this time with Mark as the host and under the new name of The Essential Apple Podcast!
I for one am glad to hear this - I missed the M&F Show but I also understand how much effort it needed and why Karl felt he couldn't keep up with it. I also enjoy Mark's honest and "seamless" approach to podcasting and so now we have a great compromise - Mark takes over the reins, whilst the old gang carry on as ever under a different banner and I for one am super pleased.
I lol forward to enjoying many further podcasts just under the new title.
Only reason for just 4 Stars is the occasional technical problems that sometimes lead to less than stellar sound - but that seems to get less and less as Mark gains more experience (and no doubt gear)
