#18 Paloma Faith: On #CoupleGoals, Nappy-gate and Telling Women To Smile

#18 Paloma Faith: On #CoupleGoals, Nappy-gate and Telling Women To Smile

We're back! We sat down with award-winning singer and actress Paloma Faith for our first episode of Season 3. We are so excited to be back in your ears. In this episode, Emma, Lliana and producer Shola went round to Paloma's house for a gin and tonic, and to get a few things off our breasts. We discussed Paloma's dislike of hashtags especially in the context of relationship bragging; whether nappies really are that big of a deal (following on from that Russell Brand interview) and the annoying habit of men telling women to smile or "cheer up love". Thanks for listening, and please do rate or review, and share with your friends!

It’s a great easy listen!

Recently discovered this podcast and listened to the first two seasons back to back. Love it!

Enjoyable initially

I think I enjoyed this podcast and concept more initially. I wonder if the format needs thought about? I think the ‘get it off your breasts’ format, can turn quickly into people just speaking negatively about a range of topics. At times, this may be what is needed - at other times it becomes just a bit draining to listen to.

Maybe some more comedic/light-hearted banter about serious issues might be more interesting...or adding a section... ‘breast appreciation?’ 🤷🏻‍♀️😊

A bit too uninformed

Just a bit too uninformed for me. Particularly listening to the episode about clean eating. I find it very frustrating listening to people talk about alternative diets (e.g veganism, raw diet etc) when they haven’t done any actual research, and just make assumptions based on a couple of things that have been read. A short way into the podcast it was said: ‘I can guarantee you will be more healthy if you eat meat 3/4 times a week’ - but seriously, more and more research is suggesting otherwise. None of these people have read any proper research and are coming out with statements like this? I had to turn it off when one of the presenters referred to her doctor as ‘hostilic’ - you mean holistic surely?
