Anarchic, but extremely funny

Joypod is without a doubt the single greatest thing ever recorded. Despite rarely having any content besides David Turner calling Michael Fox a paedophile, or mocking his freakishly egg-like head, the show constantly feels fresh. One could say, due to its unscripted, shambolic feel (almost certainly down to a total lack of preperation and being quite drunk when recording it), that there is a certain raw joy that comes across during the shows that is missing in so many forms of modern comedy. The hosts both clearly love videogames, and unlike many others, they talk as real people do, giving the podcast a realistic, genuine feel. If you don't enjoy this podcast, you're probably some stuffy idiot who doesn't have any friends. Or one of the kids Michael has 'touched'.

This. Is. Joypod

Regardless of whether you enjoy video gaming or not, Joypod goes above and beyond the call of duty (I funny make video game joke ha ha ha). The sheer unprofessionalism of the boys, David (Elmo) Turner and Michael (Michael) Fox, adds to the overall hilarity of the scene, and when they actually do talk about video gaming - which, I must have to say, is usually very little of the podcast - they make some interesting journalistic points toward the makings of the products. If you're offended by near-to-the-knuckle jokes, or if you don't enjoy frequent swearing, maybe this isn't the podcast for you. But if you enjoy humour and nonsense that is, surprisingly, listenable AND addictive - give this one a try. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Amazing scenes

Joypod is a gaming podcast that isn't about games. Highlights from Season One include 'the Eipic Mount', elmo trying to sell his body with a PS3 (shame "there's not much going on down there"), bee-gate, Sim-School, Michael's geek test, elmo's Dad and lots more! This is the long awaited and much anticipated Season Two. Subscribe. listen, laugh and then tell your friends!
