Description

We are Stu and Other Stu, long time Magic the Gathering players from the West Midlands, UK. We share a mutual love for the Legacy format and want to share our passion and experiences with the wider Magic community. The podcast aims to be an informative tour through the Legacy format. We want to show everyone what makes Legacy special and explain why we play it. We intend to share perspectives from our community as well as deck techs and strategies from some of the most powerful cards ever printed.

Customer Reviews

These guys really love legacy!

As someone who has only been playing legacy for half a year or so this podcast manages to strike a nice balancing act between appealing to beginners and appealing to experts. For beginners cards and their interactions are often explained, and the two Stus try not to assume that you already know everything, whilst for the long-time lovers of legacy there are plenty of jokes and asides to make you smile that rely on you recognising what they're refering to.

The range of topics explored is wide and varied, and the two Stus always bring a light-hearted, jovial mood to the precedings. Probably the thing I appreciate the most about the podcast though is that unlike some other legacy podcasts these guys don't look down on some of the stranger, more fringe decks of the format. They seem to have a genuine love of decks such as Doomsday, Stax and Enchantress that many other podcast hosts would just consider uncompetitive and toss to the side so that they can talk about what's actually winning tournaments. The love of Magic, the format, and strange strategies like Leyline Deck Wins or The Spanish Inquisition always shines through and makes it a delight to listen to.

Listening to Legacy

This show is too guys talking about there hobby, Magic the Gathering. It is usually entertaining but they do ramble on sometimes. Could do with a bit more structure to what they are going to cover and they really should read the cards they are talking about better since they do not always get rules interactions correct.

Great podcast

The back and forth makes this really easy to listen to. The deck techs and single card discussions are really interesting. I would love to hear some tourney reports, discussing lines of play and mistakes made for some of your favourite decks.
