Hello! My name is Craig Barton and I am a secondary school maths teacher at Thornleigh Salesian College, in sunny Bolton, Lancashire. I am also the TES Maths Adviser, creator of,, and a bit of a maths geek. This is my podcast! Each episode, I will interview someone interesting from the world of maths. They may be a teacher, blogger, student, examiner, inspector, person of influence, or Natalie Portman (please return my emails, Natalie). I will try to ask them the questions you want the answers to. If you have a suggestion for a guest, or a question, then please contact me via twitter @mrbartonmaths. I hope you enjoy the show!

Customer Reviews

A completely objective review...

Okay, I'll be honest, this is my podcast. But whilst I'm waiting for my wife & mother to review it, I needed the stars. But I promise it's good. Honestly.

Title? Mrs. Luckily, this Podcast never 'Mrs' a trick ...

DISCLAIMER: Please note that I am in no way affiliated with Mr Barton Maths, aside from the whole marriage/mortgage/going on a spa weekend with him in January/owing him £15 for petrol.
SECONDARY DISCLAIMER: Please also note that this review is not being written for the purpose of settling the aforementioned '£15 for petrol' debt. (I tried that tack, to no avail.)

Honestly, this really is a great Podcast to listen to. The soothing sounds of Mr B's dulcet tones and Lancashire-lite accent are enough to get anyone hooked! Even if Maths ain't your thing, it's certainly good to listen to from an education standpoint. I highly recommend the Oxbridge interview, sooo interesting.

5 stars!

(Is that alright Craig? Can we call it £12.75 now?)

Excellent informative and a great resource for any Maths teacher, new or old.
