An interview and Q and A show about the work problems we tackle throughout our lives. Presenter Ruth Barnes and career guidance expert Sue Ahern invite a guest into the studio to tell the personal story of their career crisis and receive advice from Sue. One major topic is covered in each episode, like 'Post Redundancy Crossroads' 'My Boss is Creeping Me Out', or 'Creative Fulfilment vs MONEY.' Expect no holds barred stories with plenty of swearing and tears, life lessons and laughter. Our careers are not straightforward, if you are having a work/life wobble this is the show for you.

Informative and engaging. Fascinating to hear other people's crises, is that a bit mean of me?! There are so many it's of different people's stories that ring true & some really sound advice. Why isn't anyone taught how to write a CV or job application? It's such a crucial skill.
I laughed aloud when Sue asked what gender the questioner was in the 'my life is a gilded cage' episode; I have been asked that question too many times.
I'm looking forward to many more episodes.
I don't often write reviews on podcasts - first one - but this is actually quite amazing. To hear of ladies who have gone through sometimes quite harsh crises, but have either come out on the other side, or are on their way there; it spreads the hope around. S1E04 especially, with Hattie... even though I'm not the target demographic for what her book would be (single, not a parent, not married, millennial) I would read her book, just because of the force of her personality and the positivity she seems to embody. Thank you ladies!
This podcast is just like free therapy!
Every week a new career crisisee comes in and gets some blunt and amazing truths dropped on them. Some great advice for everyone in this podcast and it's so comforting to know you're not the only one experiencing these things.
I often find myself visibly nodding in agreement in public thanks to Sue's infinite wisdom.
