A controversial patent filed by a streaming device and TV maker has the gaming community talking, as it might inject even more ads into our games whenever we put it on pause. We aren't really sure how this might work without fail anyway, as some consoles already do their own thing in pause mode. Is this a patent that a company might actually act on? Or will the pushback be too great? We discuss this and much more in the week of gaming news. All this on our last triple digit epsiode as we hit a milestone thousand episodes next week. Orange Lounge Radio 995 - 3/10/2024
This week's show was recorded on March 10th, or MAR10 day. A day to celebrate Mario because... it's not his birthday... nor an anniversay... just another silly nerd holiday like some others out there. Nintendo does embrace MAR10 day though with some announcements of their own, including the obvious (a new movie, of course), and the "well that makes sense" (a new lego set). We celebrate Mario and ALL things great in the gaming industry... and drag those things bringing the gaming industry down (certain CEOs). It all makes up another week of the longest running podcast about video games, Orange Lounge Radio!

The best Independent Video Game podcast there is.
Orange Lounge Radio was my first ever podcast, and is my all-time favourite. Constantly hilarious and informative, it doesn't sound like a group of journalists talking about games - it sounds like a group of friends talking about games. Even if you're not into bemani and such, I heartily recommend it.
[note: I originally wrote this review in 2006, and seven years later it's still 100% accurate.]
Getting old now :/
Used to love this podcast, but it is hard to keep loving something that doesn't seem to care too much about overseas audiences at least. Us overseas listeners rely on the show being on iTunes, but lately it is getting later and later that the show is posted, making anything they discuss being outdated very quickly. I have read several comments on euro based sites where people have given up on the show because they got fed up of waiting for the show to be uploaded. Sort it out OLR as the show is great when we get to listen to it within a decent timeframe :(.
