Excellent video podcast from a trusted team of people

This is just what I've been waiting for! Well done. You get to see the games in action whilst getting a clear and trustworthy voice over about the pros and cons of the latest releases - good stuff. These guys seem to know their apples and a brief visit to their website confirmed they have a good history on the games that are out there. This delivers just the right level of information in short bursts - just perfect for my journey in to work.

Funny, witty, and wise

This must be one of the best podcasts covering iOS gaming. It is unerringly entertaining, very often laugh-out-loud funny, and consistently informative. Although it can be occasionally bawdy, its sense of humor is usually more sarcastic or cheeky, and it has none of the cringeworthy, dude-bro brashness that plagues so many of more, shall we say, "colonial" iOS gaming podcasts.

Although Pocket Gamer's podcasters are truly funny, sometimes silly, they remain well-informed and the discuss most matters intelligently and, when necessary, they can be serious and thoughtful (see James and Peter's recent discussion about the removal of Sweatshop from the app store, for example).

Possibly what most makes PG's podcast so entertaining is the obviousness that the podcasters are enjoying themselves as they record (although Keith hides it well). When they are enjoying themselves, it's hard for the listener to not enjoy his or herself as well.

On one final note - ignore the criticisms regarding poor sound quality. That might have been the case in the past, but certainly since I've started listening a few months ago, the sound is clean and easily decipherable.

Brilliant and British

I love these podcasts seriously not only for the iphoney gamey stuff but it's so damn funny! Mr Wilson, you are great at presenting and your current partners, Jon and Keith, are also fab. I just love the atmosphere you guys create, especially in that recent episode in the pub - it's all very "just blokes having fun", and not sterile like those American ones.
One thing though - you mentioned that you'd rebalanced the sound or something, but the episode when you said that sounded really echoey - ?

Anyway, still great, love it.

Also, could Keith get a slightly better microphone?
