Stories turn songs into symphonies, events into memories, and lives into legends. In our crowded world, “knowing your story” cuts through the noise so you can make your mark — whether you want to sell more books, increase profits, or just make a difference. At Sterling & Stone, Story is our business. The Story Studio Podcast is where we explore ways we can all tell our stories better.

Maybe a bit rambling at times but packed with passion and advice!
I signed up for this podcast as heard about it through another podcast the host was interviewed on. It was perfect timing as was starting to look at how to self publish. I had expected - and was looking for - some very basic and practical tips on the how to actually do the task of self publishing. But this podcast has given me less of that BUT much more of what I had not known I needed! Which was the thinking and process of writing and getting the right story structure and so on. Find it really interesting. Though the episodes run a bit longer than they probably could, and can ramble on a bit - but it is always engaging and interesting. So much so i eagerly await the next one! So keep it going guys. We need the insights and help. Thanks
Inspired me to start writing

Found you guys by searching in itunes and have laughed my socks off many times on the morning commutes, listening to your friendly banter.
I have been dabbling with non fiction and Kindle self publishing but feel inspired to write some children and young adult. Any tips on getting an illustrator for these types of books? You make the whole scene very approachable for wannabe writers/authors. Keep up the good work. I particularly enjoyed your last session on Scrivener and will be getting a copy of this. I have been playing with contour on the ipad. This has really helped me think about the scenes and plot, though it is is built for screen plays. cheers Rik London UK
I always look forward to the SPP - the show would be a riot even if it didn't feature any solid and usable writing advice. For anyone who has ambitions to publish a fiction or non-fiction book, this is essential listening. Ditto for anyone who wants to publish a better fiction or non-fiction book.
(And it's one of the only podcasts that has made me laugh out loud on the bus to work. So it's educational, fun, often absurd, and socially embarrassing at the same time...)
Keep 'em coming guys.
