Skeptoid is a weekly science podcast dedicated to furthering knowledge by blasting away the widespread pseudosciences that infect popular culture, and replacing them with way cooler reality. Each weekly episode focuses on a single phenomenon — an urban legend, a paranormal claim, alternative therapy, or something just plain stupid — that you've heard of, and that you probably believe in. Skeptoid attempts to expose the folly of belief in non-evidence based phenomena, and more importantly, explains the factual scientific reality. From the sublime to the startling, no topic is sacred, politically incorrect though that may be.

Two and Two

This is a fantastic skeptical podcast that is brief, and to the point. Each episode is efficiently delivered with the minimum of fuss and bother. I've listened to half the episodes back to back over the last week - I'm not sure what I'll do when I run out! One reviewer has already mentioned the "strident" quality in Brian Dunning's voice and, also being English, I understand what they mean. But don't let that put you off! It's worth it to hear him say "The Government", when he's talking about conspiracy theories. One of the most impressive thing about this podcast is that Brian Dunning doesn't appeal for donations and isn't funded by any organisation (except for his "corporate paymasters", obviously). All he asks for is 2 and 2. Two minutes to write a review; and share an episode with 2 friends. Well, I've done the first and I'll be doing the second soon. I just need to pick which episode!

This is superb

A wonderful podcast. Entertaining, funny, well presented and extremely informative. A great antidote to the nonsense we are constantly fed by the press, marketing organisations, religious extremists and sandal-wearing do-gooders. Thanks Brian for providing me with something interesting during the many hours a week I spend on the UK motorways!

I'm skeptical

Don't let the strident voice put you off (it nearly did me... probably because I'm English.) This podcast contains seeringly precise analysis of many topics from SUVs to Bigfoot. Brian Dunning brings sense and reason where before there was only obfuscation, muddled thought and Myth. The thinking person's podcast.
