Description

Leon Neyfakh excavates the strange subplots and forgotten characters of recent political history—and finds surprising parallels to the present. Season 1 of Slow Burn captured what it felt like to live through Watergate; Season 2 does the same with the saga of Bill Clinton’s impeachment.

Customer Reviews

Tales of Slick Willie and Tricky Dicky

Love this fascinating series on the dirty machinations of presidential power. It’s carefully presented and thoroughly researched. Slow Burn is excellent at the sort of things that podcasts do best - with high production values, multiple voices and rich archive recordings.

Extraordinary podcast

These podcasts both on Clinton and Nixon are wonderful. They tread the fine balance between factual and fascinating. The interview with Linda Tripp is especially spellbinding. In this day and age, I would say both series are essential listening for anyone with an interest in US politics.

Political intrigue

Not from the US but have loved this podcast. It adds so much colour and fascination to what is already a gripping story. The narrative and delivery is among the best I have heard; factual, evidence based, personal impacts and insight. Can you please do this podcast for some of the major UK political scandals?
