Listen even if you don’t like the artist
These interviews are always fascinating even when you don’t think you like the artist or even haven’t heard of them. Simon and Brian always do their homework and always manage to get a great interview as a result. The fact they also play snippets of songs means you get to hear what they are talking about and quite a few times I’ve found myself buying the track/album as a result.
They Get Respect
The guys are clearly respected by the artist-interviewees. They do their homework, know their stuff and as a result they get great interviews, given in free flowing enthusiast manner by the songwriters.
As well as interviews from my favourite artists I have numerous new artists that I now love to listen to as a result of this podcast, respect for others that I still don’t really listen to, and I give my listening time to the later work of my faves who I wrongly assumed had gone off the boil.
Top notch pod !!!
Great recommendation
Came here from a recommendation by Adam Buxton and when Dr Buckles prescribes I listen. Glad I did!
