Matt Dillahunty is a rare find - a genuine expert in the bible, apologetics, and the tenets and dogma of christianity, who maintains a compelling position, having been on both sides of the debate. 30 years a fundie, many years of study, and then the realisation of being an atheist put Mat in the strongest position to compare and contrast the worldview through atheist and religious eyes. Listening to the whole back catalogue of this podcast (and from the same group, the non-prophets podcast) has increased my awareness and knowledge of atheism, in an entertaining way. Life affirming, life changing, positive, moral and fully and unreservedly recommended listening.
I can't add any more to Fred Trellis's excellent review, but I will register my support to an entertaining and informative show.
These guys are are an island of rationality in a country that is drowning in a sea of idiotic dogma. The shows are intelligent, well researched, and insightful. They are never scared to say it how it is. Some of the responses to religious callers are just priceless. Keep up the good work guys.....I just wish I lived in Austin!
