Customer Reviews

Must Listen for anyone interested in the Cold War

I love the blog that came before this podcast. The author really knows her stuff. She relates her research in a surprisingly pleasant way for a dark subject. This really is a must listen for anyone interested in the Cold War. I also recommend the blog and her fascinating Twitter feed.

Fascinating but chilling

I've really enjoyed what I've heard. Excellently researched, delivered in an engaging way. A chilling topic that mihgt not suit everyone, but fascinating all the same. Looking forward to more episodes to come!

Amazing detail

I listened to almost all episodes so far in two sittings. This is definitely the podcast for anyone doing any research at all into a post-nuclear world. But it's better than that - Julie McDowell brings the best in storytelling to each (roughly) 20-minute episode. One minute, you're hearing how the British State has planned to dispose of dead bodies afer an attack; the next we're hearing about Julie's dod Bomba. She also has a great radio voice! And there are loads of decent introductions to further reading and watching. RECOMMEND!!!
