Darren has recently published a very timely book on AI called Uncontrollable: The Threat of Artificial Superintelligence and the Race to Save the World (US Amazon link). Conspiracy Skeptic Episode 101 - Creature X Novel Series with Jeff Dupuis

Conspiracy Skeptic Episode 101 - Creature X Novel Series with Jeff Dupuis

Jeff Dupuis is a Canadian author, based in Toronto, who has written a series of mystery books called Creature X. His books (Roanoke Ridge, Lake Cresent, and Umboi Island) are not just whodunit novels but weave in cryptids and skepticism! He comes on the podcast to talk about his skeptical approach to writing and researching cryptids. Apologies: Jeff's family also comes from my hometown of Windsor so we chat a bit out that. As well, we're a couple Canadian lefties so we side track a bit there too. Canadian readers should check out his author page at Dundurn Press. American listeners, and points beyond, should find his books on Amazon.

Too much small talk

First few episodes were really good then u start interviewing ppl and all u talk about for the first 30 minutes is where their from! I don't care! I want to listen about conspiracy's not awkward smalltalk. And have u ever thought of interviewing someone who doesn't 100% agree with u

Y'know um er um Y'know

I er um Y'know listened to a few of um er Y'know these er podcasts and um er um Y'know thought that um I should um er Y'know give it erm a chance mainly er um Y'know because I like the main subject erm Y'know being conspiracies Y'know . However em ur erm Y'know I just listened to em episode 31 and erm um Y'know started getting em erm Y'know a little Y'know irritated by the Y'know amount of times both the em Y'know host and guest said um em Y'know Y'KNOW at the end of every sentence ...... After 20 mins of this I genuinely thought they were taking the pi** . Maddening because this could be a good podcast ruined by Y'know people who can't Y'know stop Y'know saying Y'know all the time Y'know.
