Great podcast for boardgame fans everywhere

I have listened to this podcast since show 1, and they are now up to over 130 shows. Coming out every 2 weeks, i find myself anticipating each new episode. Great interplay between the 2 hosts, this is anything but a dry show. Good humour, great game reviews and previews. The inserts from a range of other contributors keep the show fresh and give other perspectives. Tom Vasel is very knowledgeable on all kinds of board game and card games. If you are new to the hobby, listen to the show and visit their website for great advice on games to get started with. Forget monopoly this show is about proper games that are fun, stimulating and a great social experience. And that sums up the Dice Tower for me: fun, stimulating and a great experience. Highly recommended.

Top-notch boardgaming podcast

The Dicetower is one of the premier boardgaming (and cardgaming) podcasts out there. I didn't get on board until about show #120, but they are so chock-full of useful info and entertaining segments that I've been working my way back steadily through the older episodes (I've got as far as #80). The strength of the podcast is built around the easy banter of the hosts, Tom Vasel and Sam Healey, with their different, yet complementary, views of gaming generating plenty of interesting discussions. Around this core are some superb contributions from people like Moritz Eggert, Geoff Englestein and Eric Sumerer, which combine humour with a deep knowledge of various aspects of gaming (e.g. history, mathematics). A wide spectrum of gaming is represented, from children's games to wargames, and nothing is dismissed, so there's always guaranteed to be something of interest to listen to, whether a game review, session report or breaking news. Speaking of which, the prolific Mr Vasel receives many games before they hit the shops, so up-to-date reports of new games are a highlight of the podcast, but older games are frequently revisited in the form of session reports or the always-entertaining 'Top Ten Lists'. With a great combination of wit, international flavour, knowledge, opinion and diversity, The DiceTower is a great way to find out what's going on in the boardgaming world, what's hot and what's not, and pass away those lonely hours on the daily commute.

If you want/need to keep up with the latest boardgames

This is the podcast for you if you want to keep upto date with the boardgaming world. I for one don't have too much time to browse the web and read lots of reviews. However these guys manage to produce a great podcast that keeps me listening all the time and giving me news whilst being very funny. Keep up the great work.
